Dear all,
I'd like to do an MA TESOL next year, but am a little confused by the sheer quantity of courses available. Could anybody recommend a course? I'd be willing to study in any English-speaking country.
Many thanks,

Do it in the U.K. Basically, it is cheaper because the course lasts from October to Easter - about 6 months - then you can leave - go back to your home country and write up the dissertation!! Therefore, cheaper!!!
Choose ANY city in the North or Midlands - like Newcastle or Leicester - much cheaper for accommodation than London and the South!! |

I did an MA in ELT/TESOL at Nottingham Trent University. Granted, not exactly topping league tables but they run a solid course. Also a great vocabulary specialist and second language acquisition researcher, Diane Schmitt, working there. I'd recommend any modules with her. Her husband, Norbett, another vocabulary specialist, is over at Nottingham University.
I must add that Nottingham is a fantastic place to live.
Best of luck. |
