I haven't been able to work since last Tuesday, with schools and universities closed on a daily, rolling basis. And this at the busiest teaching time of the year for me.

What about anyone else? Is the situation any better where you are?

I live in Sigillo, don't ask me why, and I'm teaching myself web development.

The weather here is terrible; luckily the electricity is still on.

Where's Sigillo?

Yes - we've still got electricity and even the phone line is (intermittently) working. We're a lot better off than others who've been isolated for days and days...

Good luck with the web development!

Where's Sigillo? It's the centre of the Universe for teaching English! Between Gubbio and Gualdo Tadino. The western side of Monte Catria, where the winds howl and the snow piles up like a small sister to the mountain itself. Wink

Ah - you're not that far away from me then. Gualdo T is kind of on my way to Rome, and Gubbio's only about an hour and a half away. Gubbio's really pretty (great xmas lights!) but it's not the obvious place to teach English... Do you like it in Sigillo?

Great video btw!

The only thing it doesn't show is how cold it is!

The nights have been getting down to -12, -17 with the wind chill!

Its like you said, for teaching English its not the place to be. Mainly blue collar with factories closing down everywhere, Gualdo, Fossato, Fabriano...to name a few. Parents dont really believe in their kids learning English because theres no call for it here, its in times of crisis that you need to invest though. Thinking about moving out of the area to look for work elsewhere. The website's to promote full immersion courses, 24/7, living in my home but having done a search on the web it seems as though these courses are quite predominant in the north. O well.
