Hi, I am getting TEFL certified through TEFL international next month in Brittany, France. I am both a US/UK citizen with passports from both countries. I am also a college graduate with an undergrad in sociology, but I have very minimal teaching experience. My french is at the intermediate level and I am hoping to improve more (possibly take french classes) once I move. I am really hoping to find a job in Rennes, as I have somewhere to live there, and was wondering if anyone knows anything about the foreign-language teacher job-market there?? I know there are many language schools and universities in Rennes but I'm not so sure what they are like with hiring UK citizens. If I can't find a job in Rennes I will have to go elsewhere but I am really hoping to be able to find one there. Does anyone have any advice for me (as a noob) embarking upon this career plan in hopes of finding an english teaching job? Any help or advice is greatly appreciated!
Thanks,
Sarah |
