Hey everybody. I am new to the world of TESOL, but I have been doing a lot of research over the past couple months and have recently decided that I would love to teach in Ecuador. I will graduate from college this May, and then I plan to head to Ecuador around July. What I really need to decide right now is which course to take: SIT TESOL at EIL (Quito) or CELTA at Southern Cross (Guayaquil). I found some threads relating to these organizations, but there was not much up-to-date information about the actual certification courses. If anyone has recently taken either one of these courses I would love to hear your opinion. Thanks so much! |

Both courses have good reputations. In terms of content and teaching practice there is little to choose between them. However, the CELTA brand name is better known worldwide. |
