Hi there! I'm thinking of applying to Sofia University, Tokyo, to do their MA in Linguistics (TESOL) course. It's a bit of long shot, but is anyone here doing/planning to do this course or better still, has anyone completed it?? Any feedback or comments on Sofia generally would also be appreciated, either here or by PM if you'd prefer.
Thanks! |

Have you checked the admission fees and tuition? Last I looked, it was very expensive. |

Yeah, I checked them and at first thought they weren't too bad, but then I realised that it's a 2-year course and I was only looking at the fees for the 1st year! The total is therefore not far off TUJ's fees, so probably out of my reach! Back to the drawing board! |

I had never heard of this particular university until I checked them out online. Thanks for the information. |

Its English name is generally spelled "Sophia," not "Sofia." |

Bit of a long shot, but I have a student who's taking their entrance exams next February. The second stage involves an interview in English, anyone know the kind of questions they'll ask? Standard "Why do you want to be able to speak English?" type of thing? |
