I am looking to use magic jack in China because they offer the same services as skype for less. The service I am talking about is having a phone number in which people can call me through their cell phone in America and I can call them on their phones. Skype currently charges me 115.00 USD a year while magic jack charges 20.00 USD a year.
Has anyone used magic jack in China and how has it compared to the same service I currently have with Skype?
Should their be any problems having it shipped with Chinese customs if so how should I list it on the claim ticket?
Any feedback would be appreciated. |

I just saw this post so I apologize for posting late.
I dumped my landline in the US and used magicJack as my sole phone service. It wasn't perfect but it was good enough. When I moved to Taiwan I brought the magicJack with me. It's perfect for keeping in touch with folks in the US. I use it with my computer and headset but you can use it with a traditional handset, too. They have a new device that doesn't require a computer. The only reason I haven't bought one is because what I currently have serves me well. Not bad for US$20/year. |
