Hello,

I'm going to be arriving in Medellin in the beginning of May and wanted to know if anybody could give me some advice on job searching. Perhaps a list of good language schools, universities, etc..
There were some older posts about Medellin but I thought I'd start a fresh one.

I have a CELTA which I did a few years ago in Vietnam, and a degree in English Literature. I've only just finished my degree so won't have the certificate until September, I think. Do you reckon that would be a problem? (depends on the school i guess).... I'm British by the way, and can speak Spanish ok as I've been in Bolivia nearly a year.

To be honest, I'm a bit rusty on the old English teaching, it's been a while, so the prospect of walking into a real full-on environment is kind of scary. I'd be happy with a laid back job until I gain more confidence, as long as it pays well enough to live comfortably.

Also, could anyone tell me a good alojamiento close to a cool part of town that isn't too expensive ($10 or less)? I need somewhere to stay when i get there and want to avoid hostals because of the backpacker madness!

Cheers for any help in advance Very Happy

Hi,

I am a Celta qualified teacher with 12 years of experience and a Journalism graduate.

I'm coming to Medellin in Sept. and would like to know a list of the best options when I get there.

I've heard of Centro Colombo Americano and a few others but info is sketchy. Appreciate the feedback.

Dudeteacher.
