when i talk about how difficult it is to leave ksa - i do not mean in terms of visas, rather flight availibility etc.

and i said 'but' instead of 'buy': i figure most things i need i can buy in ksa, but i am not sure about reading material.

thanks again!

Kind of new at this message-board thing, are you? Wink

Before you spend all your money on books and videos, find out about the KSA Customs policy on offensive materials. Just about anything political or historical, for example, can be looked at askance. I'm only speaking from hearsay, so I hope somebody else can fill us in better on this.

Books are usually okay - unless they are illustrated. But be cautious with titles that might be the subject of suspicion.

Videocassettes are more hassle than they are worth. You may have to leave videocassettes at Customs and go back to collect them after they have been examined by the Godly.
