|

Hello,
Sorry if this was already asked before, but I was looking into schools in the UAE (private schools) hiring, and they said they wanted BAs as basic requirements. I was wondering, is this true or does one need an MA to teach at private schools? |

Private secondary and primary schools only require a bachelors degree. They usually want more (the ones you will want to work for) and many actually will take less.
Private universities want a minimum of a bachelors degree and a boat load of relevant experience.
In both instances an MA/MED is preferred. You can use one to negotiate a higher salary.
something to remember about the schools that only want a bachelors degree... the people you will be working around will have those qualifications. It says a lot about the professionalism of the organization. |

To teach in the regular school curriculum (not as EFL) you will need a teacher certification to teach in K-12. |
