I'd sort of like to restart this thread.
I will begin pursuing a teaching position in Spain after my CELTA course ends. With Portugal being a small country on the same peninsula, I would like to expand my search into that country.
I know very little about Portugal when it comes to the ESL teaching market. It doesn't seem to be a particularly popular destination. I am not sure if that's due to the lack of jobs for foreigners or if it's because people don't want to go there.
I ask here because it seems that most of the information I find about teaching there is outdated and incomplete. If there's somebody who is teaching or recently taught in Portugal, it would be nice to hear from you. |
