| Yes, and don't forget the Yellow Pages in most countries! While not in the business of posting job offers, these are however gold mines for finding schools that offer English courses. Then it's as simple as contacting the school (in the location of your choice) re: job possibilities with them. In France go to www.pagesjaunes.fr. Enter "formations/langues" in the "recherche" (search) field - et voila!. In Germany it's www.gelbeseiten.de. Enter "sprachunterricht / sprachkurse" in the "suchen" (search) field - ist ja wunderbar, gell! Anyone else out there who can supply the Yellow Pages urls in other countries? Newspaper classified are another EXCELLENT source of job offers (though knowledge of the local language is required). Of the few people I know who found permanent full-time jobs in France, usually they found the positions via newspaper ads. www.leprogres.fr is one example in France (Lyon area). Go to the "emploi" section of the site - then "enseignement". The ANPE site in France used to be good but I think they keep trying too hard to fix something that ain't broke - every time I go there it works differently!? Good hunting all! |

Does anyone know anything about ETO (European Teacher Organisation) Placement?
You pay them $145 or $395, and they (allegedly) take care of insurances, visa, and get you in touch with schools that they have screened.
They list lots of jobs.
They sent me an email after I posted my resume here. |

Don't bother paying anyone to help you get a job. There are too many free sites where you can get job leads. |

| Recruiters/middlemen cannot arrange for visas. Only a school can do that. |

| Thanks again. This forum is so helpful. Navigating this overseas job search for the first time is daunting. |
