Hi everyone, Can anybody tell me if they know of the possible ways to get to Japan (Tokyo if possible) from Bangkok or Chiang Mai. Are flights the only feasible way to do this? Or are there any combinations of sleeper train and ferry journeys that could do it? Given a timeframe of a week or so. Thanks |

There's a ferry that runs weekly from Okinawa to Taiwan, that's it. There are buses that run from BKK to Vientienne, Vientienne to Kunming, China and then from a port city close to Beijing you could take a ferry to Korea and then jump to Japan. That is if you had more than 3 weeks. |
