One of my friends have been using it for a few months now. It seems like a reliable system for bringing tutors and students together, but there are a few downsides:
1) Students must use the WyzAnt payment system, and direct payment is discouraged. For your first 5 lessons (I believe), WyzAnt takes about half of your pay, and about 15% for all subsequent lessons.
2) Students are able to leave feedback on their tutors, but only if they've paid through the online system.
3) If you live in a big urban area, then you'll likely find many people to tutor. Mid-sized cities and small towns will have few, if any, available listings.
4) In my friend's experience, a lot of the listings include students with learning disorders and other disabilities, so if you don't have training or work experience with this population, then it could be frustrating for you and the parents.
