As much as applicants want/need to see this critical info, this is typical of job ads across lots of professions. Many postings don't state salary or pay range because compensation will be calculated per your academic qualifications and relevant experience. If you make it through the interview process and the employer is interested in hiring you, you'll most likely be presented a preliminary job offer that specifies salary and benefits.

It's a summer school, right?
The pay won't be worth mentioning, likely Surprised

I'm actually being serious; they pay will be as low as they can possibly push it.

Also, it appears that while the programme is LOCATED at a university, it belongs to a Korean school chain - it is not the university that is the potential employer.

Cho-sun is just renting spaces at the university, probably including dorm rooms for their students; this is pretty common practice all over North America. I know of six or seven such programms in Toronto that are also renting space at a uni, but have no further connection whatsoever with the institituion.

So the title of the thread is actually a bit misleading; this summer camp has (most likely) absolutely nothing to do with the university other than that it is being held on campus.

Good points, Spiral. I wouldn't be surprised if the pay is $0. I agree that the company is simply renting space on the Univ. of Nebr. campus, while at the same time, recruiting local ESL teachers. However, others may think the target learners are N.U. ESL students from Korea, and that the uni somehow is a partner in this endeavor. And then there are the links the recruiter included---funky, plus, one isn't even in English. The OP might want to steer clear of this gig and find something more productive to do this summer.

If that were the case, the contact information would include something from the university.

....and they probably wouldn't be interviewing local teachers via Skype Shocked Laughing

This is also a common 'ruse' with substandard teacher training courses - they are often held in a rented room on a university/college campus, which unsuspecting trainees think lends credence to the programme.

Moral of the stories: just 'cause it's on a university/college campus doesn't mean it's actually sponsored in any way by the institution!!
