That's obvious: there's so much demand for television stars that the US can't grow enough of them at home, so they get special visa exemptions. Just like engineers in France and air traffic controllers in the Middle East.
Can you act? Come on over!
Alternatively, you could consider television commentary. CNN could use an addition to Piers Morgan and Richard Quest. |

A shame that so many have to adopt an American accent, though. Hugh Laurie's is more American than his co-stars! Also Anna Friel, Emily Lloyd and Bob Hoskins come to mind (some of them in movies, I know). |

Not enough Americans who can act? Surely not? Do those who are without an Equity card all try their luck in the EU, I wonder?
