Maybe its time to start speaking about things realistically outwith Islamic countries.

We bend over backwards to accommodate Muttawah-type doublethink - they make us bend over forwards and chop off our heads, both in the metaphorical and literal senses.

There is no God but God - but your man Mohammed, what has he got to do with it all?

Dear Hector_Lector,
OK, now that you've solved the problems of the Middle East, would you mind taking care of North Korea next?
Regards,
John

Dear Hector_Lector,
Doggone it - why aren't you in Washington, making foreign policy?

Washington?

Foreign policy?

The two things do not seem to coincide.

Dear Hector_Lecotr,
That's exactly why you're so needed - you'd have a corner on the market.

I was hoping for something controversial regarding Muslims.

Obviously not.

Dear Mr. Lector,

What are you talking about?

Anything?

Perhaps the lack of respect, understanding, tolerance, and the outright ignorance of many could be the reason why the 'terrorist' want to rid the Gulf of 'infidels'.

Really, I would think that in times like this it would be best to just shut up if you don't have anything good to say.

Probably good advice in ANY times; however, it would probably also mean the death of this Job Discussion Forum site.

Respect, tolerance, etc?

The Saudis, in general, are probably the worst collection of people I have yet to encounter.

What is often worse is meeting non-Saudis who believe, for whatever reason, that sucking up to Saudis will guarantee them a place in Paradise.

A 747 into the Grand Mosque in Al Mekkah, now wouldnt that be a hoot!

May I suggest that you might try attending:

1. The next Southern Baptist Convention

2. The next Jewish Defense League meeting

3. The next Moral Majority/PTL get-together

4. The next Opus Dei convocation

etc.

There's plenty of stiff competition out there.

And how many "general Saudis" have you known?

Regards,
John
