I need to Translate & Notarize my Certificates & Diplomas.
What's the procedure for this, has anyone done this before in Turkey?
Who usually does it a translator or an official office'? |

I took my official transcripts to a translation office and had them translated. I then took all the paperwork to a notary office and had the papers notarized there. There are a couple of things to be aware of when doing this. Do one translation and then check to see if you like it or not. Sometimes the translator is not very good-- even though he/she may hold that job. 12 years ago you had to pay per page for each translation and notarized page (think dot matrix printers and no ability to change font size). So your two page transcript might end up being four or five pages translated.
All of these papers will be sent to YK (maybe by you or by the company trying to hire you) and then when they are returned to you they will have a number stamped on the back along with a Turkish diploma. You can then use these papers when getting hired. If you have a teaching certificate also get that translated and sent at the same time. |

Thanks queenfrog I'm in Hatay, Antakya, so I'll have to find a good translation office & notary office out here. All they asked for were the translated notarised certificates & diplomas. So I assume they'll be liaising with YK. |
