I might be given a job with this school-I was told it is a very good school, and the interviewer seemed very professional, and seemed reputable.

Has anyone heard of them?

The salary is 1000 Euros a week for 20 hours teaching. Good?

(I have a BA/some teaching experience/130-TEFL)

1,000/week?
You mean 4,000 euros/monthly?

This sounds FAR too good to be true.
Are they asking you for any up-front money at all???? Shocked

Half that would be more realistic with your quals.

The salary you are quoting would be a very high-end university position requiring related MA at least, possibly Phd, and lots of experience. Such positions are obviously rare.

I'm afraid you've stumbled upon a scam...please let us know if they want any money up front for anything at all.

1,000 euros (net??) for 20 hours a week sounds pretty good to me for anywhere in Spain, depending on travel and your timetable (not too crazy hopefully). Combine that with a few private classes and you'd be doing well for a first year.

My first year in Madrid, in 2007, I came over as a language assistant and got 632 euros a month for 12 hours a week. Good times.
