I have recently had my pre-approval rejected from the Kuwaiti Ministry of Education Sad Confused .

The rejection is because my degree is not in the same subject as the one I will be teaching. Even though I have taught this subject for over 8 years.

Just wondering anyone has had any similar experiences or heard of such instances.

You're really not missing out by avoiding Kuwait. Well done.

Kuwaiti kids are a VERY different breed of kids. Consider yourself lucky....

My experience was that Kuwaitis are much bigger slobs than Saudis.

I don't believe that was ever "normal" though probably done by the bottom level employers. The better university and international schools get proper work visas.
