Hi,
Does anyone know what Malatya is like ? We have been offered jobs there starting ASAP . The money is pretty good. Is it safe and are the people OK ?
Any other info would be great.
Thanks for your help.

Whats the "good" pay? Are you in a private school or a language course?
Malayta is not on the top 10 of Turkish cities to visit or live, google it to find out more. Will be bloody hot in the summer! |

Have googled it. The info was not especially helpful. The money seems OK according to a friend who is working in Istanbul. We have just come back from working in Sudan and the heat is not a problem. ) |

Malatya is very conservative. I visited once a few years ago and although fine for a visit, personally, I wouldn't choose to live there.
It would probably be easier for a male foreigner than a female one.
There are interesting places to visit nearby, eg Nemrut Dag.
The climate is harsh - hot, dry summers and cold winters with snow.
I realise my reply is late in coming. Did you take the job, and, if so, how is it so far? |
