I doubt it. Osaka is not a bad place. Their festival is pretty good.
Kishiwada is just a far suburb of Osaka city.

You can also go to Koya in Wakayama. You can take the Nankai line to get there.

IIRC Koya is on the Koya line, whereas Kishiwada is on the Airport and Wakayama line -> you'd have to backtrack quite a bit to go to Koya easily.

There's a fair bit to do in Osaka, although you'll probably take the train to Nanba to do anything interesting.

If I'm not mistaken, I think there are two stations in Kishiwada.

There are probably more than two (I can think of two and I've only gotten off the train for the danjiri) but the train to Koya doesn't stop in Kishiwada.

What about Nara and Kobe? I won't have 2 consecutive days off so I'm trying to make the most of the free time that I do have.

Also, do you know when the trains first start running and when they stop during the day?

Thank you.

If you're on the JR line in Kishiwada, you can ride the Hanwa or Airport line to Mikunigaoka in about 15 minutes and change to the Koya line.

I lived in Kishiwada when I first arrived in Japan 18 years ago. I loved it. But I'm a homebody. Kishiwada Castle is beautiful.
