I'm an American and a former IELTS Examiner. Is it possible to find a job helping students prepare for the IELTS Exam? I would appreciate any information you can give me regarding schools or training centers that may be in need of my services. I'm also willing te teach ESL.
Thanks, Glen |

Not much demand for IELTS in the KofSA. TOEFL is still fairly big, but the reduction in numbers of Saudi students going to the US has hit that market.
Most teaching in Saudi is in the field of General English.
Are you SURE you want to come here now ? |

There are roughly 500 candidates taking IELTS in the KSA per month at the moment. With recent events, you can safely expect that number to rise somewhat, as the exam is required for Canadian and Australian immigration.
We've got a preparation course at our place and it brings in around 25,000SAR per month (gross).
I've also provided a lot of private lessons for IELTS preparation at 200SAR an hour. So, it can be lucrative here, but like Glen 2003, I can think of better places to be teaching anything at the moment. |
