Hi, I know that for another country there is a list of documents that you need to get a job, and visa. They are:

cover letter
resume
apostilled copy of university degree
apostilled Criminal Record Check
university transcripts
2 letters of recommendation

Can you please tell me which of these are not required by China, if any?
If I'm missing any for China, can you tell me what they are?

generally speaking you need the original copy of your degree certificate.

Transcripts / apostilled copies may cause problems or be insufficient.
You'd send copies to propsective employers, along with your CV and a copy of your passport informtaion page.

generally speaking, you don't need originals of anything other
than your passport (and chinese release letter if any).

cover letter NO

attach your resume to an email. the email says 'hi, i'd like to teach at
your school.' good enough.

resume YES

will be submitted to foreign affairs office to apply for work permit.

apostilled copy of university degree NO

scanned copy is usually sufficient. some schools may ask to see
the original.

apostilled Criminal Record Check NO

not required for chinese visa

university transcripts NO

not needed

2 letters of recommendation NO

letter of release or recommendation letter from previous chinese
employer needed if applying for another position in china.

you also may (or may not) need a health exam report. depends on
city or school or province or embassy.

Personally I've never needed my original degrees, but some people say you do. I think maybe some provinces require it.

Ok, thanks. What about a TEFL cert?

I showed my current employer my cert and they didn't know what it was. I've never been asked for that either.
