What if you're in a rural location and/ or teaching in a number of locations and the public transportation options are limited? |

Tohoku & Hokkaido would like to disagree with you for 5+ months of the year. Nagano & Niigata (among several others) would probably join the collective as well. |

I agree with G Cthulhu. Snow and cold temps will preclude the use of any motorcycle there unless you are suited in arctic wear. Moreover, not everyone can/wants to ride such transportation. Even a scooter can be more dangerous than a train or car. |
