The wife and I are heading down to CR in January for 3-months to test the water for moving there for 3/4/5 years.....we'll see.

BS Business
MA Teaching
and just finished up my CELTA about a month ago.

I know the money's not great, but if we move down we'll be moving down as "rentistas".

During our 3-months visiting to check it out, we're planning on spending a week doing strictly the tourist thingy, then heading to Samara for 5-weeks, followed by who knows where as we're still working those details out.

I know there's a TEFL school in Samara, and I'm wondering if anyone knows of someone I can to speak to (meaning - network with) while I'm there?

On top of my education, I'm retired Navy with a lot of the 2nd half of my career working in the training department at the various commands I was assigned to. A lot of classroom experience (which was more of a hurdle than help during the CELTA course).

Best wishes to you. If you have an incoming check from the States you should be fine. Without it, it's quite a bit more challenging financially speaking - IMHO.
