Has anyone had their visa rejected because they did not provide a photo copy of their doctor's medical license? My visa agent requires this but my doctor's office is not going to take the license off of the wall to make a copy for me.

Dear geceler,

Got a cell phone/camera? Take a photo of the license.

Regards,
John

Were they still driving camels (as opposed to Mercedes) back then? Photocopiers have been around for a while now....though I admit I remember when Xerox was a new phenomenon...

This is incorrect and all I did was have two doctors sign my medical form, one who did my physical sign on the blank for doing the physical and the other doctor in the same office signed the space for where the certification of the original doctor signing.

The Saudis don't care at the Embassy, they rubber stamp everything and pass it through, that is what happened on mine and not one issue other than them being lazy and taking 3 weeks to do it. I was told by someone working there my paperwork was approved in 1 day and sat for the next 3 weeks. I got my visas no problem.

Contact your state medical board, the organization that gave your doctor that lovely wall hanging. They can verify he's a "real" doctor, because this is a public record. They can also tell you how many times he's been sued for malpractice!

Never heard of that before.

Nb. Off on a tangent, once you get here and apply for a driving licence make sure you give all your papers to the police in a GREEN file, any other colour simply will not do! As I found out.

Your visa agent is wrong on this one; there's no requirement for a copy of your physician's actual medical license. Generally, for Americans, the Saudi medical report requires the doc's license number be verified by a medical licensing/regulatory entity. That verification may be in the form of either an inked or embossed stamp (applied directly on the report) or official letter (in triplicate). If you've already provided verification, then this requirement has been satisfied. However, if your visa agent insists and is holding up the process, then perhaps you need to consider using a different company.

Thank you for the responses. I just sent off my visa paperwork to the agent so hopefully everything goes well.

In KSA selling the green "hanging file" is a lucrative business for stationers/bookshops close to Government Offices ! Every submission has to be in one !
