American and European workers with SE Asian wives often complain about hostility and racism in KSA. This is from teachers working for Govt Institutions on legit visas.

I do not think you can even imagine what it might be like if you are there on a dodgy "business" visa with dependants.

Get a degree and come as a legit employee with a Government institution - even then it is not paradise !

Getting your Thai wife into the country should not be a problem, as I have recently gone through this process myself.

The typical route is for you to come into the country, receive your iqama (approximately after about one month) and then apply for a residency visa for your wife. You will need to input your details (iqama number) on the MOFA website and this will generate the required "authorisation" for your wife to apply. Your employer should do this for you, or at least show you what to do.

Then you will need to contact one of the approved visa agents in Bangkok (get this information from the Saudi Consulate in Bangkok's website) and they will give you a list of the required documents. As they have a lot of experience with this, it should be straightforward. The company Nilly Inter was one that I was in contact with.

After you receive your iqama your wife could be in the country within two weeks.

O.P. is talking about coming in with one those dodgy contractors who use BUSINESS VISAS. Hence no Igama and no dependants.
