Well Balqis
I did some reseach and I fell in love with Oman the moment I saw how great it is. I like Oman because of it's nature and there's no exaggerated luxury as Dubai is facing . I do believe that people are living calm lives, without being eccentric.
I am quite aware that my dreams can't come true immidiately but I hope one day maybe Razz

I also have to agree with Nomad soul about TEFL jobs in KSA, not just most of them, it's all of them are looking for the Western passports, but maybe I should try the direct application in case colleges are being tired of those fake recruiters Cool
I have recently seen some ads which don't denote the nationality but those e-mails were gmail or yahoo and I didn't get them serious Cool

There are legitimate employers in Oman that use internet email addresses for the reason that the university addresses don't have enough storage to allow for all the attached CVs. Applicants have a constant problem with their applications being kicked back because of the problem.

So the only cure was to go to the internets...

Check here if you are worried about their legitimacy.

Yet, and sorry for cutting in, I have met East-European teachers in all Khaleeje countries I have worked for, also from the Balkans [ Macedonia and Serbia], Russia and Russian ex-republics, Poles, Cheks [?], Romanians, women from Baku and Latvia.

ps. and since nomad soul is writing from al mamlaka, there I met women from Baku, Latvia, Romania and Poland;

Yes, but those women are likely to be under their husband's sponsorship/iqama and were hired locally; some may even carry dual citizenship. Either way, it's rare to see current postings that don't indicate specific nationalities.

Sultan Qaboos University has many, many non-native speaker teachers, including teachers from Armenia, Hungary, Poland, Romania, Russia and the Ukraine. Your nationality would not be a problem as long as you had an MA.

Yes I tried TATI, but there were no responses at all.

Did you try the other MOM recruiters? There are 4 other ones and I am sure one of them would respond. You could PM me if you want the contact details of some of the other recruiters. I have that of EOI of GlobNet and SN of Bahwan.

I work for the Colleges of Applied Sciences and we have Poles, Romanians, Indians, Latinos, Sudanese, Iraqi, Jordanese and Syrians so no problems. They actually seem to be better qualified than many of the native speakers who do NOT always have CELTA or equivalents.
