GDUFS is an excellent gig. Basic salary is somewhat low, but, negotiable, plus add ons for masters, Celta, time served etc.
Many people are employed from their home country, and get foreign salaries, even though living and working in China.
70 FTS, one has been on board 20 + years. The guy likes the place. Numerous at 10 years +. Light workload and plenty of scope for privates at 150 to 350 an hour. 2 campi, south has better accommodations. Great social scene, including one biggish free holiday every year - Xian, LiJiang etc. Frequent days out - beer festivals, museums, etc

On the GDUFS website, it says one must have a masters to be considered. How true is this? What kind of salary are we looking at for those with just an BA and an TESOL? Do most FTs work in the university mega city? |

There are numerous FTs at GDUFS with just regular Bachelor's degrees - unless the Master's thing is very new. Most live on the north campus. Maybe 20% on the south (HEMC). Starting salary depends on your school / employer within the university. PM for more details |
