Hi, I may be going to teach ESL at Weci English School in Changchun, China and would like to speak with someone who's taught there before.
Thanks!

Is this WECL? If so, I have taught for this organization and I would say NO! Do not teach for them. You will work your ass off for little money. |

I wondered the same thing. WECL has several aliases (They are WELL in Guangzhou) . If so, definitely one to avoid. Though It seems Changchun is up north? In which case it may not be the same outfit |

Thanks for your responses! No I'm almost certain it's WECI, although I'm not sure what that stands for. I'm going to make sure it's not related to this WECL place though. I have a contact here in Canada who worked in Changchun, China and he contacted one of his good friends there to help find me a teaching position. This contact in China has a friend who is a principle at 'Weci English School' and apparently I can go work there. I just sent a bunch of questions for the principle. I was doing an online search for anyone that worked there and did find someone and it was all positive but I'm not able to contact him. Either way I am going to ask the principle for contact info of people who worked there. |

You can also post your question on this website which is a social networking site of all the foreigners living in Changchun.
http://richardroman.ning.com/ or just search "Changchun Friends".
I haven't heard of the school, but do live in Changchun. Nice group of foreigners up here for sure, and good living in general. |

You may want to check your SPAM folder or just wait for about a day.
Generally speaking, whenever an IP address from China and the rest of the world are attempting to communicate, ALWAYS check spam filters because there is a Great Firewall around China, and I tend to lose about half my messages unless checking...
Let me know if there is still problems after that, and I will report it to the Web Admin. |
