Anyone do their CELTA in Poland? Heard anything about the programs there worth repeating? |

I did mine at IH Wroclaw in the summer of 2008.
I feel that I learned a lot. |

I did mine at Bell in Warsaw in August 2007. Excellent course, and the contacts I made there during CELTA enabled me to get a job with Bell in Gdansk where I've been working for the last 5+ years.
I'm very happy with both my decision and my school.

Looks like the winter schedules are more of a problem than I thought they would be. So far, I only have found one location offering for January that makes sense for my situation and I apparently waited too late for their deadline. May end up looking over in Prague. Sigh... |

Prague has some really good programs. I did my TEFL course there (The Language House) and really enjoyed it. ITTP and Oxford TEFL also have good reputations. |

Already have my TEFL Certificate, just wanted to do a refresher in my downtime between moves. |

Perhaps DELTA then? In CELTA you're just going to learn all the basics again. |

DELTA would take too long for my plans. I was planning more on a refresher and re-energizing a bit while learning a new area. It would have been nice to meet some folks in the region while getting orients and starting to pick up some language.
Doesn't look like the timing and season are going to work out right. Prague always has courses running but I was hoping for a new area. Still maybe I will look around someplace like Athens or Barcelona for a course and just take a bit of vacation time while I recharge the batteries. |
