So, these companies are saying they would like a BS degree from a recognized university. I'm not asking for this specific request, I'm simply asking a general question if you have experience with this, but here's my question: when companies ask for a recognized university, do they just mean it has to be accredited or do they actually full-on mean it has to be something like Ohio State, or Harvard, ect?
Thank you, I appreciate your help. I really love all the people on this site, some of the friendiest people in the world. I love you guys!
Thanks in advance for the answer to my question, love ya! |

Usually you can only find a job in TEFL if you've graduated from Harvard, Yale, Oxford, or Cambridge. Sorry, it's just a super-elite profession |

Dear ShaneinSpace,
We love you, too - but I can't resist.
A recognized university is one that when a person sees it, he/she will exclaim, "Now, THAT"S a university."
Regards,
John |

It depends on where you are going - if you are heading to Middle East, it should be from the School of Hard Knocks
But to answer your question, it means an actual university or college. Not one that gives you a diploma for "life experience" or that just skips everything and requests a credit card number. The local college within a bus drive of your parent's house is good enough. |
