Hi Everyone,
I received a couple of offers from institutes offering part-time hours. However, this may be problematic in terms of applying for a work visa.
Does anybody know if the Colombian Government explicitly states the number of hours English teachers have to teach to be eligible to apply for a work visa?
Any advice would be appreciated. |

I know there was a requirement for minimum number of hours/week of Spanish classes to get a student visa.
In terms of a work visa, I've never heard of such a requirement. At one point I did get a work visa based on a part time teaching contract. In the end I don't think the amount of hours you're working would play any role in getting the visa. What matters is that your employer knows how to produce the correct documents and guide you through the process. |
