It truly astounds me when people are willing to pay someone for the privilege of them making them money off of your labor.
If you really want to volunteer, get a double entry tourist visa and get to Thailand.
Go to the nearest temple school and volunteer. They will get you a non-b or non-o visa and work permit (even volunteer work is illegal without it).
IF you actually hold a degree then you can teach legally at a government or temple school, get paid for it (at least enough to cover your expenses), do additional volunteer work if you are so inclined and feel good about it when you are done.
Without a degree, even volunteer teaching is technically illegal (although enforcement is also virtually non-existent.
You do NOT need to pay someone for the ability to do good work in Thailand. You certainly don't need to line someone's pocket while you are doing it.
Heck, if you fly in I'll put you to work as a teacher, give you housing and a stipend, take care of your visa and W/P and not charge you anything.

Why volunteer when Thailand has thousands of teaching jobs that open up at the end of every semester? Come at the end of one of the Thai school semesters and make $1000 US a month in the city of Bangkok, and in some cases have a free place to stay given to you. |

Most people I've met who want to/are/have already volunteer(ed) in Thailand dont want to be in Bangkok. And its obviously not about the money.
