I have not followed whale wars in some time but....

apparently the japanese government has siphoned 30 million USD of fukushima relief funds solely for the purpose of defeating the sea sheppard via legal means (according to Paul watson on RT news). in the interview, watson claimed that japanese legal teams have got the US courts to keep american ships from getting 500 yards range of japanese whalers...

this does not apply however in the southern ocean or for the sea sheppard's australian boats as the US has no jurisdiction over that territory or other countries.

and the sea sheppard has 3 drones now for spotting whalers. sweet! but watson claimed the whalers are armed now.. something that is illegal. not so sweet. and they continue to kill whales in, uh, a whale sanctuary! something the japanese ignore....

thoughts? anyone know more or follow the matter? sounds like it could get very ugly and advancements are made on both ends...

The Sea Shepherd fuckos beyond sanctimonious. After the tsunami there was an article about one of their finest in the Portland media and the guy basically seemed far more sad that their exercises were compromised than the loss of life in Tohoku. *beep* them.

You went ahead and ruined a perfectly good pun chain! Now I'll never get to use my "jump the shark" comment. Laughing

Very Happy
