Does anyone have any up to date information about Pamplona re: cost of living e.g. one bedroom apt. rental, good monthly wage, or any useful websites? |

A little late for the original poster but...
Pamplona is rather expensive, but rent is getting cheaper all the time (la crisis). The average men del da meal is 12 (ouch!).
You can find a room in a shared flat for 180-250 /month.
Small apartments start at 450 /month.
For housing visit idealista.com or fotocasa.es.
The academias de ingls pay something between 12-18 /hour. Very few pay 20. You'll have to deduct 180-260 /month to pay for your Social Insurance since you'll most likely be autnomo (freelancer). It's very difficult to get hired anywhere, as Spanish law imposes all kinds of silly conditions on employers. 9 out of ten contracts signed are temporary because of this, and we're talking pamplonica natives here. Autnomo is the way to go.
Finding openings in public schools is getting tough. Private tutoring is all I do these days. Few feople will pay 20 /hour for private tutoriing. I do groups, but it takes some time for the word of mouth to work. |
