Looking for opinions of the old hands on here.

How would you distinguish between annoyances and quirks in our work environment vs. the truly unacceptable?

Concrete examples would be appreciated and probably entertaining as well.

quirks are oddities peculiar to that environment.
annoyances are things that simply bother you, relatively minor.
unacceptable things are things you cannot bear.

Unacceptable enters the region of being detrimental to your well-being or even illegal. Paying salaries two-weeks late is unacceptable. This badly affects us. Not 'facing' the bank-notes in our pay-packet is merely annoying - it really doesn't do any harm except to offend a sense of order.
