Does anyone know about Dilko English Schools in Istanbul? ARe they repuatable? Please let me know. And is 1,200,000,000 turkish liras a good salary there? Thanks. |

1.2 billion lira is an ok salary, better than any Turkish teacher's salary, though a bit piddly for Istanbul lingo schools I think. You can live fairly well on it, though not at all extravagantly. Will you be paying rent too? Try to get at least $1000 US, or 1.6 billion lira. You might actually be able to save a little. |

I would suggest that the salary you mentioned is well below average especially in Istanbul and also if you have any kind of experience /qualis to your name .Bear in mind that I live in Izmir I have to rent which is a lot cheaper than BUL and I get more than 1.2 billion it works out about 480 pounds sterling hopefully that puts it into somekind of context I would not work in the BUL for less than 2 billion especially if I was expected to rent my own place,actually thats a lie I wouldn't work in the BUL for any amout of money . good luck !!! |
