Does anyone have any experience of/info about teaching at Caledonian College? Particularly in relation to how well they treat teachers, helping them find accommodation, salaries etc.
Thanks

| I'd like to hear an update, if there's anything to report. |

Well, at least you've got that far! I haven't even heard back from them regarding my application.
What is this disease that prevents the employers from responding to all applicants? Just a standard rejection letter would suffice and then we move on. |

I can tell you that even US ESL education employers don't bother to respond unless they are seriously thinking of making an offer.
Pretty insulting and shows the level of respect given to the field...

| When I worked in Oman (prior to relocating to the UAE) I met two or three people who had previously taught at Caledonian College; all moved on as soon as they could. I do not recall what most of their specific complaints were, but I do remember that they mentioned there was controversy over the college not giving them a no objection letter for an alcohol license (the first and last time I ever heard of such a thing happening). Apparently, that was a 'perk' only awarded to management. |
