what's surprising is that the pay for BA and MA are so low in beijing; those
are yunnan pay rates. additionally, the MA offers a return flight, whereas it
appears the BA offers one-way flight only.
still i'd consider it, but only if they were to include false teeth. |

Yeah, the salaries are a joke. Also, I have no idea why someone would want to work in Beijing after the smog scare a few months ago. |

And I guess they fill these jobs right?
Is it a very desirable university or something? I know they produce the Conversational Chinese 301 books I study ... Cant imagine working for them to be a real 'door opener' though.
Shocking package on offer though ... Ill wait until Ive got my phd before applying there. |

I guess it's supposed to be a decent university to teach at. I guess the positions would be for people who would want to be in Beijing and wouldn't care about money and/or would have some extra funds to dip into.
A real door opener though? Dunno.
Speaking of university jobs in Beijing, how about this job that I came across on the China Job Boards here? At first glance this one looks better:

The minimum is pretty poor ... and it says the key for salary is working hours. Again, its the prestige of the university I think. Wouldnt be for me anyway ... BeiJing .... urgh. Im not a city man really. |
