HI,
I am needing some advice on where to start with this new venture.
I am 21yo female from Australia with no teaching experience but have recently completed the CELTA course with a Pass B.
I am leaving for South America in October and want to find out as much information and advice before I leave. I do not speak Spanish but I am teaching myself at the moment.
- Which countries are the best for teaching? I'm becoming very interested in teaching in Colombia. Peru or Argentina are my next preferences but I am needing to find out more information to make that decision.
- As an Australian citizen, how will working overseas effect my tax return when I come home?
- Is renting furnished apartments common? Because obviously I will not have any furniture or even a bed. What are your recommendations on accomodation?
- Should I be applying for jobs before I leave? I have read some people say it is better to wait until you arrive?
I would appreciate anyones advice on where my first should be. |

At least half the language schools in LatAm don't even know what a CELTA is... let alone a "Pass B"~! |
