There is an advertisement on Dave's for a position in Saudi with a company called USfalcon. Anyone know anything about them? Also, I was reading their advertisement and realized they use a lot of acronyms I am unfamiliar with.
Can anyone help me with:
RSAF
ALC
IMI
AETC
DLIELC
COR
TCO
OK, looking through this list again, I'm guessing RSAF is Royal Saudi Air Force.
And the others....?
Thanks in advance..... |

Geez... It's enough to make your head spin, but here's what I came up with (and my head is still intact):
RSAF - Royal Saudi Air Force
ALC - Aviation Logistics Center or Air Logistics Center
IMI - Interactive Multimedia Instruction
AETC - Air Education and Training Command
DLIELC - Defense Language Institute English Language Center
COR - Contracting Officer's Representative
TCO - Test Control Officer
ECL - English Comprehension Level (not on your list, but still mentioned in the ad)
Booyah! |

You're very likely on target with that one; that was my first guess as well. But really, that many industry-specific acronyms in a job post is a bit riduculous. Yet, the ad writer took time to spell out all the TESOL/TEFL/ESOL/ESL... acronyms. Makes one wonder who they thought the target job seeker would be. |

I can confirm that you are 100% correct on that one. "ALC" does stand for American Language Course, which is the title of the textbook series used for the Defense Language Institute all over the world. |
