Hello everyone, I need a bit of advice..
I graduated with a Bachelor's degree and was offered a position (as an intern, not an "official" teacher) teaching in Kuwait (for now it's a 1 year contract, renewable). The salary is 600kd plus the usual benefits (they said it's low because I have very little teaching experience).
I was also accepted to a Med program (ranges between 1-2 years) at my university.
I am in a bit of a dilemma, do I ditch the offer to teach in Kuwait and continue my education towards my masters OR do I take the 1 year contract, see how it goes try to bargain for more next year and if not come back and finish my masters after that 1 year?
What do you advise would be the better decision?
Thank you ! |

That's easy... finish the Masters. It sounds as if it is an on-campus MA - which is also very good.
Poorly paying entry level jobs are always around. But, it is often hard to go back and finish those credentials that are crucial for moving beyond jobs like this. You don't want to be stuck at the bottom rung for years and years.

Thank you for your reply! You mentioned that it's very good I want to do an on-campus MA. Does this mean that finding a job with a distance MA degree is hard? |

The Kuwait MOE does not recognize degrees attained through distance learning. |

600 is low. You could ask for 700KD and take the job and do a distance MA at the same time. Just an idea. |
