Is there a resource page that lists schools by neighborhood in Barcelona (similar perhaps to where parents would find out where their kids will be eligible to attend based on their address?)

This fall I am going to be living with my partner in the Nou Barris neighborhood of Barcelona, near the Trinitat Nova subway stop. I would love to find a position that helps me integrate with my local community.

I am a career changer. I have my BA in International Studies and worked for seven years as a trademark paralegal for two large Seattle-based companies. I am a native speaker of English with a Pacific Northwest accent and I completed a TESL program in 2007. I have volunteered with a second grade classroom in the US and can provide a reference but haven't worked in a while.

I speak some Spanish and am working to improve. If I don't find a work opportunity I will be focused on learning Catala to better communicate with my partner's family.

Thanks!
Eileen

Your problem will be ablility to work legally in Spain. Will your partner status be enough for you to get a work permit? These are very difficult to come by for non-EU citizens.

Your quals are entry-level, but given that you can work legally, it should be possible to find something, I would think.
