Hi All
After googling numerous different ways and clicking on just as many links, I am still unable to find a list I was told about that showed what was considered to be ESL certifications that were approved by the Hong Kong Board of Education.
Can anyone shed light on whether such a thing DOES exist?
Many thanks! |

Hey Joshua, thanks for your reply.
I will be doing a 120 hour TESL later this
month. The course material looks just about identical
to the CELTA. Others have recently posted that the CELTA
is the only way to go...Did you do a CELTA when you were
in Korea?
Thanks |

A friend of mine has just been accepted with no TESOL or PGDE or B.Ed. CELTA and a BA and admittedly a lot of experience. Another friend was rejected with an MA in TESOL, CELTA, BA and half a PGDE.
They are a law unto themselves.
Send in your application...it's the easiest way to find out. |

Thanks Oxi and Joshua. Isn't March the cut off for August hiring??? I am going to leave this Saturday for my ITTT TESL/TEFL in Zhuhai. I don't know how much experience your friend has. I taught in Korean public schools for 6 years and language schools before that. |
