So, my husband and I are very excited about my new job at a new school in Kuwait. However, I just found out that since I am female, I cannot sponsor him to come to Kuwait as my trailing spouse. Any advice? I know that he can come initially on a tourist visa for 3 months, but geez...
He is also a teacher and I believe that he would find a job himself in a NY minute soon after we set up house. Is it legal in Kuwait to look for work while on a tourist visa? Inquiring minds want to know.
Also, while I am at it, are there any Western Women groups/clubs in Kuwait that I could join so that I will know some people there as soon as I land? Any advice very much appreciated. Thanks!!! |

For info on social activities and basically, expat life in Kuwait, do an Internet search on expat forum kuwait. |

So youve been offered a job at a new American school in kuwait? There is a new one coming but please be prepared for a bumpy landing. There are a lot of people talking about this online. I suggest you do some research or your excitement may turn to regret. Be prepared. |

The people I have been working with seem very professional, and it is a new school. Everything I have read so far has been positive. Why would there be a problem? Please show me where you found this information. |
