Just wondering if anyone actually took them up on their job offers for teachers and a DOS? the job advert was for only 2000pln for a full-time job. I heard they are back-stabbing all their teachers as none stayed this year, and one even opened her own school!

Allow me to rephrase your question: "Will anyone admit to being a sad, clueless schmuck who will do a demanding, stressful job for peanuts?"

Did IH use the 'Venice of Poland' phrase in the ad like they did for Bydgoszcz?

I see they are advertising again, lowered the salary to 1800pln, i was speaking to an ex-teacher who used to work there, and he was warned by means of a fine, to go to the tax office and be a witness for them, so seems someone in the group is under investigation by the Tax Office in Poland.

Given that minimum wage is now 1600zl, you'd have to be completely insane to consider going anywhere near them!

Slightly off topic, but does anyone know what they're likely to pay a Senior Teacher at IH?

Unless you have an apartment with utilities included, how could that be a living wage for an expat in Poland?

I was being a little tongue in cheek Wink but yes I agree, 1800 / 2500 / 3000 is no money (unless you lived in the sticks and have everything thrown in) and as MS said, you'd be a mug to take it.

Och, sorry I am to be so thick.......

3000 net with a shared apartment seems reasonably livable outside of a couple of the high cost areas.

What I really can't understand is that for their 1800 pcm they want 2 years experience! I'm just coming to the end of my second year of teaching and I already make almost double that working less hours per week. At least Koszalin's pretty cheap, I suppose...

IH is a newbie level employer where you might get a little bit of development at the beginning of your career if the DOS/ADOS are any good. You will need to have savings to 'work' for them. I did a year with IH Bydgoszcz almost 2 decades ago and had phone bills bigger than my monthly salary. IH are people traffickers.
