|
|
Hi,
I'm in talks with a uni in Bursa for employment starting from Sept. The prob is their contract only runs till end of June. Therefore, does anyone know of any summer camps or positions in July?
Is it common for uni's to only employ until June? If so, what do you guys do in July?
Thanks |

I'm glad you have enough money to take a 2 month unpaid holiday!! I'm sorry if this is rude, but did you wake up on the wrong side of the bed or something? If you've nothing positive to say please refrain from saying anything.. |

Sıxthchıld isn't beıng rude
Not sure about unıs and lang schools (would depend on the contract you negotıate at the start I suppose for the latter), but teachers at private schools generally get about two months paid holiday in the summer |

Most unis I know (in Istanbul) have contracts running Sept- Sept with more like one months paid vacation. Schools often have more like two. Is this a reputable uni do you know? Cutting contracts off a couple of months early to save their wage bills doesn't sound like great practice to me... |

There are a lot of language institutes in Bursa that don't advertise on the internet. You might have better chances finding summer work at one of the institutes with mostly Turkish teachers since it will make their school look good to have more native speakers. I wouldn't necessarily count on finding a spot for just two months, but it would be worth trying. |
