"I feel sorry for people who don't drink. They get up in the morning, that's the best they're gonna feel all day."

Since we're all teachers, here's one:

Let schoolmasters puzzle their brain
With grammar, and nonsense, and learning,
Good liquor, I stoutly maintain,
Gives genius a better discerning

In Limbo - I thought it was obvious. I like to give the old sacroiliac a good workout as I indulge in Bacchanalian revelry by the sacred fire under the full moonlight. CRACK! Argh! Very Happy

Hair of the dog? Depends on the dog. A glass of red wine has always been effective. Food - grease and bread - a fry up, pizza, or burgers. But the best cures are pre-emptive strikes: dilute the night's consumption with water and wait an hour before going to bed.

Now itslatedoors, as a man of the world, you should know about alcoholism. Once someone has crossed over that invisible line into pathological drinking the only way out is total abstinence. You are a big boy now. You should know that. And that is why I do not drink.

How is the supermodel wife ?

Please note that in Australia to be pissed = to be drunk whereas, if I'm not mistaken, to be pissed = to be annoyed in the USA. In Australia to be pissed off = to be annoyed.

"Good afternoon, Landlord, a pint of Less if you please,"
said the old man.

"Less? Never heard of it," replied the barman.

"Oh, come now surely you have," he persisted.

"No sorry, we certainly don't stock it. What is it anyway?
Some foreign beer?"

"Well I'm not sure," admitted the man. "It was the doctor
who mentioned it. He said I should drink less."

Dear scot47,
" The old jokes are always the best."
Being an old joke myself, I couldn't agree more.
Regards,
John

A horse walks into a bar and sits down.

The bartender looks at him and says: "Hey fella! Why the long face?" Laughing

And my personal favorite expression for being drunk? "sh*t-faced"

I spent hours looking for this expression in my etymology-online dictionary and couldn't find it anywhere. Cool

Dear Scot47:

As an abstainer, you're gonna love this. There's a company here in Russia that produces an alcohol-free beer.

Unfortunately, they never bothered to consult an English dictionary when they were choosing the name for their beer brand. The brand name, translated into English, is spelled like this: ANAL Beer

Hey honey, "How about another delicious Anal beer before we hit the road?" Laughing
