Please contact me for details. Willing to pay for a very, very short term, private loan this week. Need money for red tape / funds letter to acquire my long term visa. Money will be returned to you within a few days, and I will pay for time and services rendered.

Sorry that I can't help; am not available this week.
However, I think it's a RED FLAG that the school which is employing you is not taking care of this; if they are willing to employ you, they should certainly be willing to trust you with a short-term loan. If you have a relationship of trust with anyone in the country, assuming that you do not have friends or family here, it should be the school.

the weird thing is my school is amazingly nice. they've done a lot for me. i don't think it's that they don't want to help me. i think it's that they can't. maybe worried about legality?

anyway, i have it sorted again. at first the embassy said it needed to be an original copy, but they've settled for an email copy. i should once again be ok... fingers crossed
